View Record Details

The View Record Details screen shown below contains information for a Lodge and its Mother Lodge. Details available are :-

Also available as "pop-up" information are all the previously known Lodge numbers applicable to the Lodge being displayed. This information is only relevant to those Lodges whose Warrants were granted prior to the 1863 numbering.

In order to see details for all of the Lodges held on the database, Click on one of the horizontal arrows shown on the control marked "Lodge No.". The outer arrows move to the first entry or last entry in the database. The inner arrows enable the user to move backwards and forwards through the database one Lodge at a time. Lodges are sorted into numerical order.

By using the "Goto Lodge No. ..." or "Goto Lodge Name" buttons, it is possible to move directly to any Lodge on the database.

It should be noted that the details can be restricted by using a data filter. This can be achieved using the Set / Reset Data Filter command from the Main Menu.

It should also be noted that some lower numbered Lodges may appear more than once since Lodges which are now defunct / extinct may have had the same number as a currently existing Lodge. It is therefore strongly recommended that the inner arrows are used to view Lodges either side of the selected Lodge to ensure the correct Lodge is selected for your research.

For convenience, View Chart and View Chart Details command buttons are provided to allow a direct route to the drawing of the chart or list of Lodges for the chart containing the selected Lodge.

If details of previous Lodge numbers are available, a command button will appear on the lower portion of the screen (see screen above). Select "Show pre-1863" to see details of the previous Lodge numbers. Select "Hide pre-1863" (see screen below) to return to the normal screen view.

The Print button will enable the user to print the complete screen to the printer.

N.B.
In some cases, a message may appear on the screen requesting the user to manually select landscape mode for their installed printer. This message will appear only once during the use of the Cross Reference and Family Tree Database application and will be triggered at the first request for printed information.

Click on the Exit button to return to the Main Menu.
